Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Guide: Lurking Steel Titan

The third Titan Pokemon that we will be going against is the Lurking Steel Titan. It is recommended that you complete the previous sections of this guide.

Lurking Steel Titan - Preparations:

It is recommended that you are at least level 28 before taking on this challenge. The Lurking Steel Titan is a Steel type, so you will want to use Fire, Fighting, or Ground type moves. Once you are ready, let's start making our way there.

Lurking Steel Titan - Location:

The quickest way to get there will be from Levincia. Fly there and exit from the north, following the path into East Province (Area Three). As you get on the path, the environment will change from grass to sand. Once you reach the sand, not much further will be a trainer, he will have two level 23 Oinkologne (Normal type).

There are areas on the sides of the path that you can explore with items and trainers but I will be sticking to the path for simplicity. Feel free to explore and come back to the path to continue. After battling that last trainer, you can continue on the path which makes a U-shape. After the bend will be a trainer on the right who has a level 23 Varoom (Poison/Steel type). Continue on the path and pick up the Great Ball on the left. Then right past that on the right is another trainer. She will have a level 24 Snover (Ice type).

Next, follow the path and pick up a Revive next to a boulder on the left. Then go directly north from there, pick up the Max Ether before going into the area where the Titan is.

Lurking Steel Titan - Battling Orthworm:

As mentioned earlier, you will want to use Fire, Fighting, and Ground type attacks. It will be the same as the previous Titan Pokemon, once you get Orthworm's health really low, it will go into a cave. However, this one won't come right back out for a fight, instead you will have to follow it until it creates another hole and eats some Herba Mystica. Now it will battle you again.

Similar to the other battles, Arven will come lend you a hand. You can still use the move types as before and hopefully defeat it quite easily with Arven's help.

Lurking Steel Titan - Rewards:

As per usual, once you have defeated Orthworm, you and Arven will go into the cave and make a sandwich with the newly acquired Herba Mystica. This will also unlock a new ability for Koraidon/Miraidon, allowing you to jump higher by pressing and holding down the B button. Now it's time to take on your next gym battle.
